stirrin’ up dust

I’ve been stirrin’ up the dust in the studio – honestly it’s not that hard to do. It’s dusty and hot. Does it feel hot to you? The summer heat has slowed the prospects of firing the kiln lately.

However, I have begun cleaning the studio a bit – stirrin’ up dust – in preparation for The 4th Occasional Cup & Mug Sale. Mark your calendar for October 22 & 23, 2021. Then, make plans to attend!

The 4th Occasional Cup & Mug Sale is a collective event with more than 40 ceramic artists participating.

More importantly, this sale is a catalyst event. We’re collecting gift cards* for Fry’s grocery stores to benefit Casa de Amor – a Resource Center hub that responds compassionately to the needs of the less fortunate in Phoenix’s East Valley. For every $10 in gift cards* donated, the donor is entered in a drawing to receive a mixed set of cups/mugs. I’m so looking forward to this event. Hope to see you there! No really, you should come!

*activation receipts MUST accompany gift cards

In the meantime, go see art! Left to My Own Devices is included in the All Art Arizona exhibition at Art Intersection in downtown Gilbert.

All Art Arizona is an all media exhibition highlighting the broad diversity in the art of Arizona artists. The exhibition runs from August 14 through September 25, 2021, with an opening reception August 14th from 5-8pm.

Sounds like dinner and a show to me!!
