Beth Shook
Beth Shook considers herself a southwest native, having lived her most reckless and influential years in El Paso, Texas.
She earned her BFA from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1985. Under the instruction of the most accomplished professors, she discovered a love for clay, developed her skills as a craftsman, and near obsession with the drawn line.
She received her MFA in Ceramics from Arizona State University in 1990. Her teaching career spanned 30 years with the Maricopa Community Colleges. She returned to drawing in 2021, her first love. Ms. Shook maintains a studio in Phoenix, Arizona.
