There are times when the drawn image isn't quite what is needed. There's somethi ng about the quality of an image with a more commercial edge - a feel of mass production. Still the 'mass' part of the production is sometimes far from reality. Other than photo processes and silk screens - which are another layer in the technical application - I first think of stamps. Pretty low tech. The issue is having the right stamp with the perfect image.
I quit a long time ago looking in stores that carry those things
- though there is quite a proliferation these days. Instead, I opt to make my own stamps. I'm generally not willing to wait for a stamp made of clay to dry and be fired, so I make them out of polymer clay and bake in the oven. Ready to go while the clay is still in peak condition. |
